    En este artículo Javier Gil Pérez analiza conceptos como Islam, islamismo, fundamentalismo o integrismo mostrando las importantes diferencias que se dan entre ellos. El objetivo del autor es mostrar la riqueza de visiones dentro del Islam y en el resto de confesiones religiosas y al mismo tiempo los errores empleados en la terminología. El autor enfatiza que Islam, islamismo, fundamentalismo o integrismo son conceptos diferentes y como tal deben ser usados. Para ello, hace un repaso de los conceptos originarios de cada término mostrando la evolución que han sufrido. El autor finaliza exhortando a que se haga un uso correcto de los diferentes términos para realizar un correcto análisis de la realidad internacional.

    In this article, Javier Gil Perez analyzes concepts like Islam, islamism, fundamentalism or integrism showing the important differences that occur among them. The objective of the author is double: on the one side to show the different visions within Islam and in the rest of religious confessions and in the other side to demonstrate the mistakes when this terminology is used. The author emphasizes that Islam, Islamism, fundamentalism and integrism are different concepts and so they must be used in different contexts. For it, he makes a deep review of the original concepts of each one and he ends up by showing the evolution that they have suffered. The author finalizes exhorting the society to make correct use of the different terms to analysis correctly the international reality.
