El marco interpretativo y la ceguera sobre el daño epistémico

    En este texto realizo un análisis filosófico sobre el poder estructural que presenta Miranda Fricker en Injusticia epistémica a partir de la idea de “marco interpretativo” que Judith Butler expone en Marcos de guerra, con el fin de explorar cómo el poder estructural genera, a través del marco, determinadas cegueras epistémicas para obstaculizar la identificación de los daños epistémicos. Para ello, en primer lugar, analizo el funcionamiento del marco interpretativo y destaco cómo este opera estableciendo un adentro (lo aceptado) y un afuera (lo rechazado) del mismo. En segundo lugar, examino las posibilidades que existen para liberar la percepción de las normas del marco interpretativo. Finalmente, apoyándome en el trabajo de José Medina, propongo una praxis de la mirada que consiste en aprehender y reconocer lo que el marco rechaza y trata de ocultar de la mirada.

    In this paper, I carry out a philosophical analysis of the structural power that Miranda Fricker proposes in Epistemic Injustice starting from the idea of the “interpretative frame” that Judith Butler elaborates in Frames of war. The relationship between the two concepts aims to explore how structural power generates, through the frame, certain epistemic blindnesses to hinder the identification of epistemic harms. To do so, first, I analyze the functioning of the interpretive frame and highlight how it operates by establishing an inside (what is recognized) and an outside (what is rejected) of it. Secondly, I examine the possibilities of freeing perception from the norms of the interpretative frame. Finally, based on the work of José Medina, I propose a praxis of the gaze that consists in apprehending and recognizing what the frame rejects and tries to hide from the gaze.
