    O que se pretende aqui é indicar uma resposta à pergunta: “ensinar história da filosofia é ensinar filosofia?”, esboçando a defesa da seguinte idéia: a história da filosofia é, de fato, o instrumento principal de ensino da filosofia e, para a filosofia, fonte permanente de inspiração. Com esse propósito, é preciso legitimar a história da filosofia enquanto filosofia e, conseqüentemente, o ensino da história da filosofia como ensino de filosofia, tendo em vista que ensinar filosofia é ensinar história da filosofia, pois história da filosofia é filosofia.

    The intention here is to indicate an answer to the question: “Is to teach History of Philosophy to teachPhilosophy?”, an outline for the following idea: the History of Philosophy is indeed the main tool in theteaching of Philosophy and, for Philosophy, source of permanent inspiration. With this purpose, there is aneed to legitimate the History of Philosophy as Philosophy and, consequently, the teaching of History ofPhilosophy, as the teaching of Philosophy, once teaching Philosophy is teaching History of Philosophy, becauseHistory of Philosophy is Philosophy.
