Ensino Médio noturno: sentidos e significados dessa etapa da Educação Básica para alunos/as de uma escola pública do município de Anastácio – MS

    This article has as its main objective to identify and to describe the senses and meanings attributed to the School by a group of students that are in the last year of the Medium Level (nocturne) of a public school in the periphery of the municipal district of Anastácio – Mato Grosso of the South, in the year of 2009. For better to embrace the thematic investigated we approached in the construction of the theoretical and metodologic field of a qualitative approach. We dialogued with the works of Peregrino (2006); Navarro (2005); Mello (1999); Togni & Carvalho (2007); Kuenzer (2002), Freire (2000), (2005), Frigotto (2004), among others. We used as methodological procedures the revision of the literature on the thematic investigated, data that inform about the researched school, semi-structured interviews and of the registrations of the voices of the subjects. The dialogues with the literature and the voices of the subjects pointed that the school meanings for them are: an opportunity of improvement of the conditions of individual and family life, it represents the insert possibility in more qualified sections of the world of the work and it makes possible they enter an university. They consider that the school and the learnings in the medium level have value, because they aid to see and to understand the things in another way, what contributes for they be happier people because in the school they learned how to live together with the differences and to do friendships.

    Este artigo tem por objetivo identificar e descrever os sentidos e significados atribuídos à escola por um grupo de alunos/as concluintes do Ensino Médio noturno de uma escola pública localizada na periferia do município de Anastácio – Mato Grosso do Sul – no ano de 2009. Para melhor abarcar a temática investigada, aproximamo-nos, na construção do campo teórico-metodológico, de uma abordagem qualitativa. Dialogamoscom as leituras de Peregrino (2006); Navarro (2005); Mello (1999); Togni & Carvalho (2007); Kuenzer (2002), Freire (2000), (2005), Frigotto (2004), entre outros. Utilizamos, como procedimentos metodológicos, a revisãoda bibliografia sobre a temática investigada, pesquisa a documentos pertinentes à escola pesquisada, entrevistas semiestruturadas e registros das vozes dos sujeitos. Os diálogos com a bibliografia e com as vozes dos sujeitos apontam indícios de que a escola significa para eles uma oportunidade de melhoria das condições de vida individual e familiar, representa a possibilidade de inserção em setores mais qualificados do mundo do trabalho e possibilita o ingresso numa universidade. Consideram que a escola e os aprendizados no Ensino Médio têm valor, pois auxiliam a ver e a compreender as coisas de outro modo, o que contribui para serem pessoas mais felizes porque na escola aprenderam a conviver com as diferenças e a fazer amizades.
