Resumen de A Identidade Cultural na Teoria Educacional Contemporânea

This article aims at analyzing the concept of cultural identity in the critical pedagogical theories in the last decades of the 20th century and in the contemporary times, highlighting the importance of such class for the promotion of an critical pedagogical praxis. From a re-view bibliography, we would like to emphasise positions of some influential authors of this theoretical, such as Paulo Freire, Henry Giroux and Peter McLaren. The ar-gument is built as an answer to the following question: what theoretical advancements have already been car-ried out by the critical educational theory regarding to the identitary building? I propose the use of the Theory of the Social Representations of Serge Moscovici like an important theoretical referential system in the construc-tion of a pedagogic practice that aims to the a identitary building critical of the students.

Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar o conceito de identidade cultural nas teorias pedagógicas críticas produzidas nas últimas décadas do século XX, enfatizando a importância dessa categoria para a promoção de uma prática pedagógica crítica. A partir de uma revisão bibliográfica, destacamos posicionamentos de alguns autores influentes dessa corrente teórica, tais como Paulo Freire, Henry Giroux e Peter McLaren. O argumento é construído em resposta à seguinte pergunta: Quais os avanços teóricos já realizados pela teoria educacional crítica no tocante à construção identitária? Finalizo propondo a utilização da Teoria das Representações Sociais de Serge Moscovici como um importante referencial teórico nas pesquisas concernentes à elaboração de uma prática pedagógica que vise a uma construção identitária crítica dos educandos.
