Los NFTs son un gran desconocido para la mayor parte del público. Cuando leemos que se pagan cantidades exorbitantes por los NFTs cuesta entender como algo digital pueda alcanzar semejantes sumas. Al ser un mercado novedoso cabe la duda de si las reglas de IVA están preparadas para gravar (o no) estos bienes digitales.
En este artículo explicaremos qué son los NFTs y cómo se pueden gravar; y contrapondremos la posición de España sobre su tributación a la de otros países europeos.

NFTs are a great unknown to most of the public. When we read that exorbitant amounts are paid for NFTs, it is hard to understand how something digital can reach such sums. Being a new market, there is a question as to whether the VAT rules are prepared to tax (or not) these digital goods.
In this article we will explain what NFTs are and how they can be taxed; and we will oppose the position of Spain on its taxation to that of other European countries.
