Granja agroturística interpretativa de saberes agrícolas tradicionales con enfoque educativo sustentable

    El presente capítulo emerge de un proyecto de investigación interno de la UniversidadTécnica del Norte, no financiado, denominado “granjas agrícolas interpretativas en la comunidadde Peguche, Otavalo”, y tuvo como propósito diseñar un producto agroturísticointerpretativo para el aprovechamiento sustentable del patrimonio agrícola andino en comunidadesindígenas otavaleñas. Es una investigación cuantitativa, descriptiva y de campo. Seaplicaron matrices de observación para analizar y seleccionar la chakra emblemática interpretativaambiental con la selección y caracterización de potenciales interpretativos en laschacras andinas que requirió de criterios y rasgos señalados por autores de la interpretación;para el diseño del sendero se utilizó la guía metodológica de interpretación ambiental. Losresultados fueron una chacra emblemática interpretativa con 10 potenciales de diversidadagrícola etnobotánica, patrimonial y cultural caracterizados e interpretados en un senderointerpretativo semicircular, autoguiado, denominado Mil formas, mil colores y mil sabores,con nueve (9) paradas interpretativas en atractivos paneles. El agroturismo es una alternativapara optimizar recursos y capacidades locales en comunidades con potenciales agrícolas ysaberes tradicionales.

    This chapter emerges from an internal research project of the Universidad Técnica delNorte, not financed, called “interpretive agricultural farms in the community of Peguche,Otavalo”, and had the purpose of designing an interpretive agrotourism product for the sustainableuse of agricultural heritage. Andean in Otavaleña indigenous communities. It is aquantitative, descriptive and field research. Observation matrices were applied to analyze andselect the emblematic interpretive environmental chakra with the selection and characterizationof interpretive potentials in the Andean farms that required criteria and features indicatedby authors of the interpretation; for the design of the trail, the environmental interpretationmethodological guide was used. The results were an emblematic interpretive farm with 10potentials of ethnobotanical, patrimonial and cultural agricultural diversity characterizedand interpreted in a semicircular, self-guided interpretive trail, called A thousand shapes, athousand colors and a thousand flavors, with nine (9) interpretive stops in attractive panels.Agrotourism is an alternative to optimize resources and local capacities in communities withagricultural potential and traditional knowledge.
