Las metáforas animales juegan un papel importante en el sistema metafórico de la novela china Wei cheng, retratando vívidamente en diversos aspectos las características de los personajes. Pero hasta hoy, el tema de su traducción ha sido poco estudiado. Mediante la construcción de un corpus paralelo trilingüe, este artículo pretende realizar una investigación contrastiva de la traducción al inglés y al español de las metáforas animales relevantes al ser humano en Wei cheng desde una perspectiva cognitiva.

Animal metaphors play an important role in the metaphorical system of the Chinese novel Wei cheng, vividly portraying in various aspects the characteristics of the characters. But until today, the subject of their translations has been little studied. By constructing a trilingual parallel corpus, this article aims to conduct a contrastive investigation of the English and Spanish translation of the human-relevant animal metaphors in Wei cheng from a cognitive perspective.
