The aim of this study was to identify the existence of identity profiles based on the use of social strategies in a stable group of Chamarita sheep and its relation with dominance, individual behaviour, morphological, physiological and cognitive characteristics and productive traits. We studied 50 adults ewes. Ewes weight body length, height at withers and thorax circumference were measured. The physiological stress response was assessed in blood samples. Social behaviour was registered analysing aggressive and affiliative interactions. Each ewe was subjected to a cognitive test (T-maze). Data were analysed through a factor analysis and a cluster analysis to identify types of individuals. The study reveals four types of identity profiles within a social group of ewes. Three of them correspond to the profiles previously found in goats (aggressive, affiliative and avoider), while the four one implies a poor defined social strategy which comprise affiliative as well as aggressive factors.
