El Lupus Eritematoso Sistémico o LES, es una enfermedad anómala, de carácter autoinmune. Tomando en cuenta todo lo referido, el presente artículo, pretende desarrollar una actualización en el manejo del Lupus Eritematoso sistemático mediante el desarrollo de una revisión bibliográfica de la literatura científica existente en diferentes fuentes de información debidamente referidas, las variables utilizadas fueron; etiología, manifestaciones clínicas, diagnóstico, tratamiento. Conclusiones: Él LES es una enfermedad autoinmune que no tiene cura, pero que, a la fecha, se puede controlar y prevenir el daño a nivel orgánico, mejorando la calidad de vida del paciente.

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus or SLE is an anomalous autoimmune disease. Taking into account all of the above, this article aims to develop an update in the management of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Ery-thematosus through the development of a bibliographic review of the existing scientific literature in different sources of information duly referenced, the variables used were: etiology, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, treatment. Conclusions: SLE is an autoimmune disease that has no cure, but that, to date, can be controlled and prevent damage at the organic level, improving the patient's quality of life.
