    Singapur, desde su nacimiento en 1965 como Estado soberano e independiente, ha sabido articular una magistral política exterior. Con el objetivo, tanto de garantizar la supervivencia del nuevo Estado, como de transformar económicamente la realidad del país. Con dicha meta, el pilar de ASEAN, como pivote de su política exterior, junto a la colaboración estrecha con Estados Unidos, se han conformado como las bases y garantes de su autonomía estratégica.

    Singapur, des del seu naixement el 1965 com a Estat sobirà i independent, ha sabut articular una magistral política exterior. Amb l'objectiu, tant de garantir la supervivència del nou Estat com de transformar econòmicament la realitat del país. Amb aquesta fita, el pilar d'ASEAN, com a pivot de la seva política exterior, juntament amb la col·laboració estreta amb els Estats Units, s'han conformat com les bases i els garants de la seva autonomia estratègica.

    Singapore, since its birth in 1965 as a sovereign and independent state, has been able to articulate a masterful foreign policy. With the aim of both guaranteeing the survival of the new state and economically transforming the reality of the country. With this objective, the ASEAN pillar as the pivot of its foreign policy, together with the close collaboration with the United States, have been established as the bases and guarantors of its strategic autonomy.
