Nanociencia y nanotecnología en la formación inicial de profesores de física: un estudio sobre concepciones y prácticas

    Esta investigación tiene como objetivo analizar las concepciones de los docentes sobre nanociencia y nanotecnología e investigar las prácticas docentes desarrolladas en el abordaje de estos temas en los cursos de Licenciatura en Física ofrecidos por la Universidad Federal de Maranhão y la Universidad Federal de Santa Catarina. El enfoque metodológico se centró en el enfoque cualitativo, apoyándose en la entrevista semiestructurada como instrumento de recolección de datos, tratado desde la perspectiva del Análisis de Contenido. El análisis de los datos revela que los participantes tienen concepciones teóricas acordes a la perspectiva científica sobre nanociencia y nanotecnología y comprenden las especificaciones que presenta cada término. También demuestran que la enseñanza de este tema se ha desarrollado esencialmente de manera teórica, a un nivel superficial. Se observa como dificultades impuestas en la enseñanza de la nanociencia, la ausencia del tema en la formación inicial y la no asistencia o tímida presencia del contenido en los libros de texto.

    This research has objective to analyze the teacher’s conceptions to about nanoscience and nanotechnology and investigate the teaching practices developed in the approach of these themes in the Physics Degree courses offered by the Federal University of Maranhão and Federal University of Santa Catarina. The methodological approach was centered on the qualitative approach, based on the semi-structured interview as instrument for data collection, treated from the perspective of Content Analysis. Analysis of the data reveals that the participants have theoretical concepts according to the scientific perspective on nanoscience and nanotechnology and understand the specifications that each term presents. They also demonstrate that the teaching of this theme has been developed essentially in a theoretical way, at a superficial level. It is observed as difficulties imposed in the teaching of nanoscience, the absence of the theme in the initial formation and the non-attendance or shy presence of the content in the textbooks.
