Resumen de Lídia Baís: memórias de uma trajetória feminina na arte de Mato Grosso do Sul

  O presente artigo integra o texto final da tese de doutorado intitulada: Razão e loucura na produção artística de Lídia Baís. Nuances de uma trajetória feminina, defendida no Programa de Pós-Graduação em História da Universidade Federal da Grande Dourados (UFGD). Tem por objetivo apresentar alguns aspectos da trajetória de vida e artística de Lídia Baís, artista sul-mato-grossense. Dos acontecimentos de sua vida, que foram considerados transgressores em relação aos padrões impostos às mulheres na primeira metade do século XX, o artigo apresenta quatro obras da artista que no percurso da pesquisa foram analisadas tendo o evento de seu casamento como referência. Como suas obras não eram, em sua maioria, datadas não é possível precisar o contexto em que foram produzidas, mas considerando os elementos simbólicos da obra e a trajetória da artista é a partir dessas pinturas que procuro compreender os dispositivos de poder e controle sobre Lídia Baís no período analisado.

  This article integrates the final text of the doctoral thesis entitled: Reason and madness in the artistic production of Lídia Baís. Nuances of a female trajectory, defended in the Graduate Program in History at the Federal University of Grande Dourados (UFGD). It aims to present some aspects of the life and artistic trajectory of Lídia Baís, artist from Mato Grosso do Sul. From the events of her life, which were considered transgressive in relation to the standards imposed on women in the first half of the twentieth century, the article presents four works by the artist that were analyzed in the course of the research with the event of her marriage as a reference. As her works were, for the most part, not dated, it is not possible to specify the context in which they were produced, but considering the symbolic elements of the work and the artist’s trajectory, it is from these paintings that I try to understand the devices of power and control over Lídia Baís in the analyzed period.
