    De acuerdo con diversas guías clínicas y multitud de estudios, la migraña es una de las afecciones neurológicas más comunes en todo el mundo, destacando por ser la más incapacitante. Sin embargo, a pesar de que la migraña es una afección padecida por gran cantidad de población, todavía sigue estando infradiagnosticada y por tanto mal tratada. Debido a ello, la mayoría de los afectados rechazan acudir a un profesional y recurren a la automedicación con analgésicos de libre venta para su tratamiento.

    El principal objetivo de esta publicación es exponer los conceptos principales y las diferentes vías de tratamiento que pueden seguirse para minimizar los efectos de este trastorno.

    According to various clinical guidelines and many studies, migraine is one of the most common neurological conditions in the world, standing out for being the most disabling. However, despite the fact that migraine is a condition with a high prevalence, it is still underdiagnosed and therefore poorly treated. This is the reason because most of the patients refuse to go to a professional and resort to self-medication with over-the-counter painkillers for their treatment.

    The main objective of this publication is to expose the main concepts and the different treatment pathways that can be followed to minimize the effects of this disorder.
