La Tenosinovitis estenosante, o también ‘’dedo en resorte’’ o ‘’dedo en gatillo’’, es una de las causas más comunes de dolor y discapacidad en la mano, que consiste en el atrapamiento de los tendones flexores de los dedos de la mano en su vaina fibrosa. El paciente durante la flexión o extensión activa de los dedos presenta un chasquido doloroso. Aparece principalmente en el dedo pulgar, medio o anular de la mano dominante. El diagnóstico principal es el examen clínico y el tratamiento depende del grado de evolución en el que se encuentre (inyección de corticoides o cirugía abierta) y el objetivo principal es conseguir eliminar que el dedo se trabe y conseguir un movimiento completo del dedo.

Stenosing tenosynovitis, or also »spring finger» or »trigger finger», is one of the most common causes of pain and disability in the hand, which involves the entrapment of the flexor tendons of the fingers of the hand in its fibrous sheath. The patient during active flexion or extension of the fingers presents a painful clicking. It appears mainly on the thumb, middle or ring finger of the dominant hand. The main diagnosis is the clinical examination and the treatment depends on the degree of evolution in which it is (injection of corticosteroids or open surgery) and the main objective is to eliminate the finger from locking and achieve a full movement of the finger.
