Resumen de Historia, Guerra Fría e historieta: la presencia de la Guerra Colonial en las revistas portuguesas Camarada y Visão

El cómic, en su relación con la historia, puede considerarse tanto un documento como un discurso. Pero ambos enfoques no se excluyen mutuamente. La elección del tema de la Guerra Colonial y su tratamiento gráfico en dos momentos históricos radicalmente diferentes (1964, Estado Novo/salazarismo y 1975, democracia/revolución después del 25 de Abril) y por dos publicaciones distintas (Camarada y Visão) nos permitió ver que los dos conceptos se complementan y no son incompatibles. Si bien es cierto que el primer momento en 1964 en la revista Camarada y en la aventura “O Chico e o espírito de Fogo” se movilizan las tiras cómicas para consagrar un imaginario histórico salazarista de integridad territorial de las colonias y de la vida multirracial en defensa del lado occidental de la Guerra Fría, el segundo momento, en 1975 en Visão es, en el lado opuesto de la trinchera de la Guerra Fría (bloque socialista) el documento histórico del horror y de la inutilidad de la Guerra Colonial.

Comics in their relationship with History can be seen as both a document and a discourse. But both approaches are not mutually exclusive. The choice of the Colonial War theme and its graphic treatment in two radically different historical moments (1964, Estado Novo/Salazarism and 1975, Democracy/Revolution after 25th of April) and by two distinct publications (Camarada and Visão) allowed us to see that the two concepts complement each other and are not incompatible. If it is true that the first moment in 1964 in the magazine Camarada and in the adventure “O Chico e o espírito de Fogo” mobilizes the comic strips to consecrate a Salazar historical imaginary of the territorial integrity of the colonies and of the multiracial life in defense of the western side of the cold war, the second moment in 1975 in Visão is, on the opposite side of the cold war trench (socialist block) the historical document of the horror and of the uselessness of the colonial war.
