    La visión holística de la educación, esto es, buscar un tratamiento sistémico y completo que forme a los discentes de manera integral, es uno de los as- pectos más importantes y de máxima actualidad en el ámbito educativo. En este sen- tido, los avances y descubrimientos aportados por la neurociencia exponen que la Educación Física no puede quedarse al margen de este enfoque, ya que esta materia se constituye como un medio para dinamizar el pensamiento, la cognición, la intelec- tualidad, la afectividad, y en último término la consecución del bienestar integral. Por ello, y puesto que tradicionalmente las investigaciones en el ámbito de la Educa- ción Física se han centrado en estudiar sus beneficios para la formación física del ser humano, el objetivo de este artículo es analizar la Educación Física desde la pers- pectiva de la neurociencia, identificando sus principales hallazgos desde una visión global, integral y holística de la educación.

    The holistic vision of education, that is, seeking a systemic and complete treatment that trains students in an integral way, is one of the most important and current aspects in the field of education. In this sense, the advances and discoveries made by neuroscience show that Physical Education cannot remain on the fringes of this approach, as this subject is a means of stimulating thought, cognition, intellectuality, affectivity and, ultimately, the achievement of all-round wellbeing. For this reason, and given that research in the field of Physical Education has traditionally focused on studying its benefits for the physical training of human beings, the aim of this article is to analyse Physical Education from the perspective of neuroscience, identifying its main findings from a global, comprehensive and holistic view of education.
