La docencia en el lugar equivocado

    Al abordar el tercer milenio la educación contable en Colombia y quizás en latinoamérica y por qué no a escala mundial, se encuentra frente a frente a un mundo diferente al que le vio nacer.En su inicios para satisfacer una necesidad de información y control se formaron los escribas, dueños de un “saber” operativo, con habilidad de escribir sin interpretar.La formalización de la escuela y las instituciones educativas superiores se orientó a atender la demanda del mercado en sus etapas mercantil, industrial y capitalista. Por todas esas épocas la educación contable trasegó y se valió de una propuesta pedagógica capaz de satisfacer sus demandas; de ahí la pedagogía tradicional o industrial que desde fi nales del siglo pasado ha mostrado su obsolescencia e incapacidad para atender a las necesidades de la sociedad de la información.En la obsolescencia del modelo pedagógico tradicional, subyace una de las causas fundamentales de la crisis en la educación contable, denunciadas en Colombia desde de la década del 80 en el siglo pasado, que invernaba hasta que el Estado decide intervenir para evaluar la calidad de la educación a través de sus “productos”, los estudiantes.

    In the third millennium Accounting Educationin Colombia and maybe in LatinAmerica and why not in the rest of theworld, faces a world different to the onein which it was born.At the beginning, and with the purposeof satisfying a need for information andcontrol there appeared the scribes, ownersof an operative “ knowledge “ withthe ability of writing without interpreting.The formalization of School and highereducation institutions aimed at satisfyingthe demand of the market in its mercantile,industrial and capitalist stages. Duringthose times Accounting Education decantedand used a pedagogic proposalable to satisfy its demands. From thereon we have the traditional or industrialpedagogy, which since the fi nal of lastcentury has shown its obsolescenceand inability to meet the demands of thesociety of the information.In the obsolescence of the traditionalpedagogic model underlies one of thefundamental causes of the crisis in theAccounting Education denounced in Colombiasince the 80’s in the last centurythat hibernated until the State decidesto intervene to evaluate the quality ofthe education through its “ products “,the students.
