La infraestructura náutica para recreación y turismo requiere un proceso holístico e iterativo de planeamiento. A diferencia de otros tipos de infraestructura de navegación, las marinas son escenario de experiencias turísticas y albergan actividades de ocio y recreación. En este marco, del que se deriva que la ingeniería "es necesaria pero no suficiente", este artículo presenta reflexiones sobre algunos principios de planeamiento y diseño de marinas, orientados a cumplir con objetivos de sustentabilidad ambiental y social, así como de mitigación y adaptación al cambio climático.
Recreational and tourism navigation infrastructure requires a holistic and iterative planning process. As opposed to ·other types of navigation infrastructure, marinas are stages for tourist experiences and host leisure and recreation activities. Within this framework, from which emerges the conclusion that "engineering is necessary but not sufficient", this article presents thoughts on the principies of planning and design of marinas, intended to meet goals of environmental and social sustainability, as well as climate change adaptation and mitigation.
