Valorga procedure is a process of urban solid waste management by anaerobic digestion of organic part after selecting it. This separation can be ·previously made when all the groups have chosen the implementation of a selected collection or in situ by means of a treatment with an adequate selection chain. This last case is the one which has been working for 4 years and for some years in the treatment plant of urban solid wastes (U.S.W.) in Amiens (France)., where this procedure allows, since August 1988, the treatment of all U.S.W. in the city, so, 55,000 tn/year. The whole capacity of the treatment plant is 72.000 tn/year.
