  • At the same time as environmental awareness is increasing and new legislation and regulations are coming into force to the protection of the environment, the quantities of special waste for disposal are steadily rising. These substances, which are in certain cases highly hazardous and inflammable, must be processed without endangering the environment. Putzmeister valveless solids pumps (KOS series) are now being used in continuous operation for conveying applications in the processing of industrial and special waste. Hermetically-sealed solids-pump systems are now being used not only for the conveyance of low-viscosity paste-like materials in pipe-lines, a process which has been familiar for years, but also for difficult-to-pump media with high solids and increasing amount of coarse particles.
