  La pandemia ocasionada por la COVID-19 ha afectado especialmente a las pequeñas y medianas empresas (pymes). Dado que estas son el motor de la economía española, resulta relevante analizar qué variables influyen en el grado de intensidad en que les ha afectado la actual pandemia. Para realizar este estudio se diseñó un cuestionario que fue cumplimentado por 268 pymes españolas. Este trabajo presenta los principales resultados obtenidos de la investigación efectuada a través de la técnica del análisis de la varianza (ANOVA). Entre ellos, cabe destacar que los factores que han incidido en el grado de impacto de la actual pandemia en las pymes españolas han sido: la edad del gerente, la no coincidencia en la misma persona de las figuras de gestor y propietario, su carácter familiar, la introducción de innovaciones organizativas, la solicitud de financiación ajena, variaciones en su nivel de endeudamiento, sus recursos líquidos y su actividad de explotación. Estos resultados aportan una contribución inicial en el análisis de los referidos factores, que como consecuencia de ciertas limitaciones no pueden generalizarse.

  The pandemic caused by COVID-19 has particularly affected small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Given that these are the driving force of the Spanish economy, it is important to analyze the variables that influence the degree of intensity with which they have been affected by the current pandemic. To carry out this study, a questionnaire was designed and completed by 268 Spanish SMEs. This paper presents the main results obtained from the research carried out using the analysis of variance technique (ANOVA). Among them, it should be noted that the factors that have influenced the degree of impact of the current pandemic on Spanish SMEs have been: the age of the manager, the fact that the figures of manager and owner do not coincide in the same person, their family nature, the introduction of organizational innovations, the request for external financing, variations in their level of indebtedness, their liquid resources and their operating activity. These results provide an initial contribution to the analysis of these factors, which, due to certain limitations, cannot be generalized.
