Asturias (Spain) produce 350.000 ton of urban solid wastes per year. 97 per cent of them are treated and their leachates are delivered on a special plant where are depurated avoiding pollute underground waters. In 1993 there were an energetic use of this wastes obtaining 25 million Kw of electric energy This paper presents the Plan of Government of Asturias to collect the urban solid waste and its treatment.
