• Geosynthetics play an important role for the design and safe execution of modern landfills. They comply the function of impermeabilization, soil reinforcement, filtration, protection, and drainage. In the recent case of Somozas landfill, geosynthetics have been designed with a technical scientific approach and installed under severe conditions with respect to a permanent quality control.
