An analysis of the Steinian corpus makes it possible today to relativize – or completely revise and even entirely refuse – the association of a gnoseological realism with the thought of Edith Stein. Through his project of a Philosophy of Being (which does not abandon Phenomenology, but associates it with a metaphysical approach as a complement to the whole of a complete work of reason – perfectum opus rationis), Edith Stein refuses the opposition “idealism versus realism”, by simply making understand that such opposition has no sense in a context of fidelity to the Phenomenology.
