    En este artículo vamos a hablar de las estatinas. Comenzaremos describiendo lo que son y los efectos secundarios que produce su consumo.

    Las estatinas son una clase de medicamentos utilizados para bajar el nivel de colesterol en la sangre. La mayor parte del colesterol que circula por la sangre lo produce el hígado. Las estatinas actúan reduciendo la cantidad de colesterol que produce el hígado, ayudando a eliminar el que ya circula por la sangre.

    In this article we are going to talk about statins. We will begin by describing what they are and the side effects of taking them.

    Statins are a class of drugs used to lower the level of cholesterol in the blood. Most of the cholesterol circulating in the blood is produced by the liver. Statins work by reducing the amount of cholesterol produced by the liver, helping it to eliminate the cholesterol already circulating in the blood.
