Resumen de Modelo de simulación de eventos discretos y emulación de sensores para mejorar una ruta de transporte rural al reducir los tiempos de espera

  Esta investigación se realiza con el objetivo de evaluar el potencial de diferentes herramientas provistas por la industria 4.0 en la mejora de sistemas de transporte. Se escogió el sistema de transporte rural entre el municipio de Cajamarca y el corregimiento de Anaime (Departamento del Tolima, Colombia) por su importancia económica para la región. Se desarrollan dos modelos para el análisis, el primero describiendo el sistema real y el segundo agregando sensores que generen y transmitan información en tiempo real para facilitar la toma de decisiones. Este sistema se modela en el software FlexSim. Los resultados muestran que se logra reducir los tiempos de espera hasta en un 60% cuando se integran sensores en las rutas de transporte y una lógica de decisión frente a la información que estos proveen. Se concluye que incluir herramientas para la toma y transferencia de información en tiempo real junto con herramientas de soporte ayuda a reducir los tiempos de espera de los pasajeros.

  The main purpose of this research study is to assess the potential of 4.0 industry tools for improving transportation systems. The rural transport system between the Municipality of Cajamarca and the village of Anaime (Tolima Province, Colombia) was selected due to its economic importance for the region. Two models were developed, one describes the real system and the other has sensors that generate and transmit information in real time to facilitate decision-making. The system is modeled by using the software FlexSim. The results show that waiting times are reduced by up to 60% after integrating sensors into transport routes and after integrating a logical decision process based on the information the sensors provide. It is concluded that adding tools that facilitate information uptake and transfer in real time along with supporting tools greatly reduce waiting time for passengers
