Impotencia y tiempo en los escritos de juventud de Simone Weil

    Si bien la concepción del tiempo de la joven Simone Weil adopta los parámetros generales de Kant para dar cuenta de la experiencia humana, establece no obstante elementos problemáticos, conducentes a vislumbrar en la primera filosofía weiliana la posibilidad de un nexo epistemológico directo, aunque reducido, entre sujeto y naturaleza en sí. En efecto, la afirmación de Lagneau, que destaca la existencia de una dimensión expresiva del tiempo como marca que revela la impotencia radical del hombre, le permitirá a Weil reevaluar la condición cognoscitiva y existencial del sujeto kantiano. Asimismo, es a partir de esta consciencia de los límites estructurales impuestos por el tiempo al hombre, lo que llevará a S. Weil a replantear, bajo una nueva perspectiva, el mecanismo cartesiano del cogito ergo sum, con miras a descifrar el papel determinante que juega el tiempo en las condiciones de posibilidad del pensamiento.

    Although the conception of time of young Simone Weil adopts Kant general parameters in order to convey human experience, it establishes problematic elements, leading to discern in the first weilian philosophy the possibility of a direct epistemological nexus, even if it is a narrow one, between the subject and the nature itself. Indeed, Lagneau’s assertion highlighting the existence of an expressive dimension of time as a mark revealing the radical powerlessness of man, will allow Weil to re-evaluate the cognitive and existential condition of kantian subject. Furthermore, this consciousness of the structural limits imposed by time on man will bring S. Weil to reconsider the Cartesian mechanism of cogito ergo sum from a new angle, in order to decipher the crucial role of time on thought conditions of possibility.
