Los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) proclamados por las Naciones Unidas en 2015 pretenden servir de hoja de ruta de la comunidad internacional para lograr un más que necesario equilibrio entre el crecimiento económico, la justicia social y la protección del medio ambiente. Sin ninguna duda, la lucha contra el cambio climático es el objetivo más urgente en este incierto comienzo de siglo. A pesar de algunos logros en objetivos concretos, lo cierto es que la pandemia global del Covid-19, la guerra de agresión en Ucrania y la emergencia climática están teniendo efectos devastadores en la consecución de los ODS. Hará falta un mayor compromiso y una mayor voluntad política si queremos estar a la altura de las exigencias que tiene planteadas ante sí la humanidad.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proclaimed by United Nations in 2015 are aimed at being the road map of the international community to achieve a necessary balance between economic growth, social justice, and the protection of the environment. Without a doubt, the fight against climate change is the most urgent goal in this uncertain beginning of a new century. In spite of some achievements, the truth is that the global pandemic of Covid-19, the war of aggression in Ukraine, and the climatic emergence are having devastating effects on SDGs. A renewed commitment and higher political will are necessary to meet the expectations of humankind.
