Ideas para combatir el cambio climático

    Es indudable que vivimos uno más de los muchos cambios climáticos, que desde los registros sedimentarios, sabemos, que ha sufrido nuestro planeta. También conocemos que este es atribuido a la quema de los combustibles fósiles. Ante estas evidencias, cabe preguntarse si nuestras Instituciones y Gobiernos están actuando en la dirección correcta y sin cinismo, pues aceptan que el gas provenga de países que han desarrollado la denostada fracturación hidráulica, caso de EEUU, y gracias a ella nos proporcionan el gas natural que Europa necesita, porque la guerra en Ucrania, evidencia nuestras necesidades y dependencia de los combustibles fósiles, vengan desde donde vengan, y sean obtenidos, incluso, por la fracturación hidráulica. El cinismo se justifica porque significa aceptar que aquí no, pero fuera sí, porque lo que ocurra fuera, se considera que no contribuye al cambio climático. Es notorio que nuestros recursos energéticos son considerados válidos cuando provengan de las renovables, pero también es evidente que si el viento, el sol y la lluvia fallan, tendríamos graves problemas, no ya para ampliar, sino para mantener el bienestar que nuestras sociedades demandan. Desde el conocimiento geológico del área España y de Europa sabemos que, si permitiésemos la exploración convencional y en especial la fracturación hidráulica, nuestras necesarias importaciones de gas natural podrían ser sustancialmente reducidas.

    There is no doubt that we are suffering another of the many climate changes that from the information provided by sedimentary records, we know that our planet has suffered; but we also recognize that the current change is attributed to the burning of fossil fuels: coal, oil and natural gas. In view of this evidence, it is worth asking whether our institutions and governments are acting in the right direction and without a cynicism, because in the face of the need for these fuels, they accept that they are produced from countries that, among other things, have led to a high level, the hydraulic fracturing, EEUU case, and thanks to it provide us with the natural gas that Europe needs, when foreign circumstances, the Ukraine war, show our needs and dependence on fossil fuels. The term cynicism qualification comes to mind because it means accepting that not here, but externally yes, because what happens outside Spain and Europe does not contribute to climate change. It is well known that our energy resources are considered valid when they come only from renewable energies, but it is equally obvious that if the wind, sun and rain fail, we would have serious problems, not only to develop, but also to maintain the wellbeing that our societies demand. From the geological knowledge of the Spain and Europe regions, we know that if we allowed exploration and in particular hydraulic fracturing, our natural gas imports could be significantly reduced.
