    This article aims to discuss the possible traumas caused by refuge situations, as well as the potential of art to help in their elaboration. Based on an interlocution between psychoanalysis and critical social theories, we develop some considerations about the psychology of trauma and about the process ofpsychological elaboration through art. We understand that the contact with artistic creation, whether in the position of creator, spectator or in the art therapy, has the effect of cultural inclusion of refugees in the host country, as well as the creationof collective memories. We believe that cultural inclusion and the creation of memories contribute to the psychic elaboration of violence, loss, and grief that usually characterize refuge, besides pluralizing experiences and dynamizing society.

    Este artigo tem como objetivo trazer uma discussão sobre os traumas provocados pelas situações de refúgio, e sobre como a arte pode auxiliar na elaboração destes traumas. Partindo de uma interlocução entre psicanálise e teorias sociais críticas, desenvolvemos algumas considerações acerca da psicologia do trauma e sobre o processo de elaboração psíquica por meio da arte. Compreendemos que o contato com a criação artística, seja na posição de criador, espectador e/ou pesquisador, tem como efeito a inclusão e intercâmbio cultural de sujeitos refugiados no país de acolhimento, bem como a criação de memórias, articuladas à ética das relações, transmitindo elementos da cultura e da história do país do imigrante. Consideramos que a inclusão e o intercâmbio cultural, bem como a criação de memórias singulares, mas simultaneamente coletivas, contribuem para a elaboração psíquica das violências, perdas e lutos que costumam caracterizar o refúgio, além de pluralizar experiências e dinamizar a sociedade.
