Resumen de El aprendizaje servicio en Comunicación Audiovisual: aprendizaje percibido y rendimiento académico

  Esta investigación tiene como objetivo explorar los efectos del aprendizaje servicio(ApS) en estudiantes de Comunicación Audiovisual respecto al aprendizaje percibido yel rendimiento académico. Para ello, en una encuesta los alumnos valoran qué aportaesta metodología a su aprendizaje y desarrollo profesional. Con un análisiscomparativo del rendimiento académico medimos el impacto del aprendizaje aplicado.Los resultados indican una mayor motivación de los estudiantes, que perciben estainiciativa como una propuesta edificante que los enfrenta por primera vez al reto denegociar con un «cliente», el promotor de la idea. Resaltan, además, el valor del trabajoen equipo, y las oportunidades de difusión de sus producciones en festivales ycongresos. Sus altos niveles de aprendizaje se corresponden con calificaciones máselevadas.

  This paper aims to explore the effects of service learning (SL) in AudiovisualCommunication students regarding two critical success factors: perceived learning andacademic performance. To achieve this, we present the results of a survey in which students assess what this methodology contributes to their learning and professionaldevelopment. Also, through a comparative analysis of academic performance, wemeasure the impact of applied learning. The results indicate an increase in students’motivation. Participating students perceive this initiative as an edifying proposal thatconfronts them for the first time with the challenge of negotiating with a «client», theproponent. They also highlight the value of teamwork and the opportunities todisseminate their productions at festivals and congresses. There is a significantrelationship between their high levels of learning and their grades, which tend to behigher.
