Resumen de Meta-análisis de la reincidencia de la conducta antisocial penada en adolescentes españoles

  • The punished antisocial behaviors of adolescents have the leading social relevance than the ones carried out by adults, generating an adverse social perceptions about juvenile offenders. The aim of this study is to review the literature on juvenile justice recidivism studies conducted in Spain, in order to estimate the non-recidivism rate as a indicator of effectiveness of the counteractions imposed in the juvenile court, and to examine the variables associated with the variability found in the studies reviewed. A literature review has identified 14 studies of recidivism conducted in Spain between 1995 and 2008 that have led to 17 independent studies that collect data on 16,502 minors. The weighted average non-recidivism percentage is estimated at 73.88. Moderator variables associated with greater magnitude are family criminal history, victim of family abuse, physical family problems, violence in the first crime, average recidivism time rate, working and being male.
