The objective of this study is to offer a useful instrument to evaluate the personal recovery process carried out by people and collect information regarding the orientation of mental health services. Interviews (n=312) were carried out with users of mental health services, by completing the REE Questionnaire (Recovery Enhancing Environment). The normative data and the Reliable Change Index (RCI) were calculated considering the gender, care centre and age. Through two examples, it can be observed that the normative data make enable the attainment of the relative position of the individual with respect to their reference group, while the RCI allows to know if a user of the service is above or below the cut-off point and the individual’s evolution. Therefore, both methodologies offer clinicians a useful instrument for making therapeutic decisions about the recovery process and about possible organizational change, considering both the clinical judgment and the experience of the users.
