Resumen de El implante subdérmico anticonceptivo en la política pública argentina: una revisión de antecedentes

  El artículo presenta una revisión de los artículos científicos que abordan al implante subdérmico como método anticonceptivo. El objetivo de esta revisión fue relevar y caracterizar el tipo de estudios en español que se han dedicado al estudio del implante e identificar distintos abordajes sobre el tema. Se incluyeron aquellos artículos completos o tesis en español publicados entre los años 2001 y 2021. Se identificaron investigaciones clínicas y epidemiológicas que basan su atención en el implante y sus características, condiciones de uso, efectividad, efectos secundarios, índice de permanencia y abandono. En menor medida se hallaron investigaciones que incluyen el estudio de implante en el marco de la política de salud sexual que lo contiene. Los estudios encontrados muestran el escaso desarrollo de los estudios cualitativos que aborden en profundidad las experiencias de las usuarias y la inclusión del implante como parte de la política de salud sexual y reproductiva Argentina.

  The article presents a review of the scientific articles that address the subdermal implant. The objective of this review was to reveal and characterize the type of studies in Spanish that have been dedicated to the study of the implant and to identify different approaches on the subject. Full articles and theses in Spanish, published between 2001 and 2021 were included. Clinical and epidemiological investigations were identified that base their care on the implant and its characteristics, conditions of use, effectiveness, side effects, rate of permanence and abandonment. To a lesser extent, research was found that includes the study of the implant within the framework of the sexual health policy that contains it. The studies found show the limited development of qualitative studies that address in depth the experiences of users and the inclusion of the implant as part of the Argentine sexual and reproductive health policy.
