    Resumen: Objetivo. Analizar las condiciones que visibilizan a niños y niñas como sujetos con perspectiva en la investigación sobre familia latinoamericana. Método. Mediante la revisión de la producción investigativa en los últimos diez años de las bases de datos RedALyC, LILACS, SciELO, BVS*** se proporciona una visión de conjunto en este campo, evidenciando el muy escaso interés por las explicaciones y significados que niños y niñas atribuyen a su realidad, así como por establecer interlocuciones que generen posibilidades de alteridad cognitiva y las distintas potencialidades que lo conforman. Resultados. Se hace necesario reconocer que las formas tradicionales con las que se han comprendido a los niños, las niñas y las familias deben ser deconstruidas y reconstruidas de cara a las condiciones actuales de la sociedad latinoamericana. Conclusiones. A partir de las ciencias sociales críticas se trata de dar sentido e integrar la experiencia investigativa que tiene en cuenta la perspectiva de niños y niñas como investigadores de su propia realidad, para plantear campos de conocimiento que a través de la investigación promuevan su participación como derecho humano a expresarse, asociarse, reunirse e informarse donde no solo se beneficien ellos mismos, sino que contribuyan al bienestar de su familia y su comunidad.

    Abstract: Objective. To analyze the conditions that highlight children as subjects with perspective in the research about Latin American families. Method. Throughout the review of the investigative production from the last ten years on the RedALyC, LILACS, SciELO, BVS data bases, an overview is provided in this field evidencing very poor interest for the explanations and significance that children attribute to their reality, as well as establishing the interlocutions that generate possibilities of cognitive otherness and the different potentialities that shape it. Results. It is necessary to recognize that the traditional forms with which children and families have been understood should be deconstructed and reconstructed to face the current conditions of the Latin American society. Conclusions. From the critical Social Sciences it is tried to give a meaning and to integrate the investigative experience that takes to consideration the perspective of children as researchers of their own reality, to propose fields of knowledge that through investigation promote their participation as the human right to express, associate, get together and inform themselves, where not only they benefit themselves, but contribute to the wellbeing of their family and community.
