Resumen de El Plan Nacional como instrumento de salvaguardia del patrimonio cultural inmaterial: Experiencias previas, dificultades y retos

En este artículo se hace una reflexión sobre las dificultades y avances que se vivieron en la Unidad de Etnología, del hoy llamado Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España, que permitieron desarrollar junto a las Comunidades Autónomas un documento de referencia de las características de este Plan Nacional. Se pone de manifiesto en el mismo, las experiencias, dificultades y avances en el Patrimonio Etnológico, así como la colaboración estrecha en los procesos de conceptualización del nuevo término del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial que se llevaron a cabo desde el Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España. Se relacionan a su vez las causas y razones que motivaron la creación del Plan Nacional de Salvaguardia del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial, así como sus características y programas. Además, se hace un análisis de su valoración desde su aprobación al momento actual y se indican las nuevas propuestas y retos de futuro que serían aconsejables se desarrollaran en el marco de este Plan.

This articte reflects on the difficulties and progress made in the Ethnology Unit -which belongs to the current Spanish Cultural Heritage Institute -and the development of the National Plan for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage together with the Autonomous Communities. The article presents the main work carried out by the Institute in the field of ethnologicaI heritage, paying attention to the difficulties, experiences and development of the concept of intangible cultural heritage and related safeguarding strategies. The origin and characteristics of the National Plan are explained and an assessment is made from its approval to the present day, as well as the main challenges for the future.
