    Este artículo es parte de los resultados del Guion Interpretativo diseñado para la Catedral de Tunja que da respuesta a su escaso aprovechamiento turístico y al desinterés en su protección. El guion constituye una herramienta para los guías de Tunja, que permite revelar el significado de un lugar, estrategia de valoración del patrimonio para la comunidad y, al mismo tiempo, hacer ameno el encuentro de los visitantes con el Patrimonio. Consolidar y organizar la información disponible de manera estructurada fue la forma más adecuada para la elaboración del guion,  a partir de metodología cualitativa-descriptiva y de técnicas de investigación documental. El guion es el resultado más visible de la investigación, además de descubrimientos hechos a lo largo de la misma como: la localización de muebles que se mencionan por diferentes expertos y que se entendían extraviados y el diseño de audio guía bilingüe. En conclusión, la catedral es el resultado del tiempo, manifestación representativa histórica, espiritual, simbólica y artística, de Colombia, en ella convergen cada uno de estos aspectos en diferentes periodos evolutivos de la nación colombiana.

    This article is part of the result of the Interpretive Script designed for the Cathedral of Tunja that responds to its scarce tourist use and the lack of interest in its protection. The script is a tool for touristic guides in Tunja, which allows revealing the meaning of a place, a strategy for valuing the heritage for the community and, at the same time, making visitors’ encounter with the Heritage enjoyable. Consolidate and organize the information available in a structured manner was the most appropriate way to prepare the script, based on qualitative-descriptive methodology and documentary research techniques. The script is the most visible result of the research, in addition to discoveries made along the same as: the location of pieces that are mentioned by different experts and that were understood lost, and the design of a bilingual audio guide. In conclusion, the cathedral is the result of time, representative historic, spiritual, symbolic and artistic manifestation of Colombia, where each of these aspects converge in different evolutionary periods of the Colombian nation.
