  Siria La década negra (2011-2021) es un análisis detallado y profundo de una de las guerras que más impacto han tenido en Oriente Medio. Ignacio Álvarez-Ossorio explica las múltiples facetas de la revolución siria que pronto  se transformó en una guerra civil. Lo que empezó siendo una protesta pacífica contra la dictadura de Bashar Al Asad fue instrumentalizada por varios actores regionales e internacionales para asegurar sus intereses. A causa de ello el régimen se mantiene en un contexto de  grave crisis humanitaria en el país.

  Siria la década negra (2011-2021) is a detailed and profound analysis to one of the most horrible wars of the 21st century. Through out the book, Ignacio Alvarez-Ossorio explains the multiple facets of the syrian revolution that soon developed into a civil war. What started as a peaceful manifestation against the dictatorship of Bashar al Asad got "kidnapped" by regional and international actors who found in the territory an opprtunity to fulfill their interests. As a result, the old regime is still going strong and the humanitarian situation of the syrians is at its worst.
