    Este monográfico pretende abordar los diferentes repertorios de cooperación y conflicto observables en el análisis de la política exterior turca en el Mediterráneo Oriental y la región MENA. Los textos originales fueron propuestos en la Jornada Internacional de Divulgación e Investigación  organizada por el GRESAM-UCLM (Grupo de Estudios sobre las Sociedades Árabes y Musulmanas), titulada “Nuevos y viejos actores internacionales en Oriente Medio y Norte de África”, y que tuvo lugar en la facultad de Humanidades de la Universidad de Castilla La Mancha (Toledo), en diciembre de 2021. Esta jornada se enmarcó en las actividades de investigación del Grupo de Estudios sobre las Sociedades Árabes y Musulmanas (GRESAM/Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha) cofinanciadas por la Unión Europea a través del Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional (FEDER) y en los proyectos de investigación “Crisis, diásporas e islam en el Mediterráneo occidental” (CSO2017-84949-C3-1-P) y “Crisis y procesos de cambio regional en el norte de África. Sus implicaciones para España” (CSO2017-84949-C3-3-P) financiados por el Ministerio de Economía, Industria y Competitividad (MINECO), la Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI) y el Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional (FEDER).

    This special issue aims to address the different repertoires of cooperation and conflict observable in the analysis of Turkish foreign policy in the Eastern Mediterranean and the MENA region. The original texts were proposed at the International Conference on Dissemination and Research organized by GRESAM-UCLM (Group of Studies on Arab and Muslim Societies), entitled "New and old international actors in the Middle East and North Africa", which took place at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Castilla La Mancha (Toledo), in December 2021. This conference was part of the research activities of the Group of Studies on Arab and Muslim Societies (GRESAM/University of Castilla-La Mancha) co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the research projects "Crisis, diasporas and Islam in the Western Mediterranean" (CSO2017-84949-C3-1-P) and "Crisis and processes of regional change in North Africa. Their implications for Spain" (CSO2017-84949-C3-3-P) funded by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness (MINECO), the State Research Agency (AEI) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
