  • Electroplating companies as a whole continue to have a high environmental impact in the Basque Country Community It is important to stress that each company and each process have their own special conditions, so there is no single wholesale environmental solution to the problem. Furthermore, each company must assess and adapt cleaner production and waste water treatment measures within the scope of this own possibilities. IHOBE S.A. has responded to the demand from the industry by providing basic technical directives to facilitate decision-making in the field of cleaner production and waste water treatment, in the shape of the ''Guidelines on the Minimization of Waste and Emissions in the Electroplating Processes'‘.
