Análisis bibliométrico de la producción científica sobre biblioterapia en Scopus

    La biblioterapia consiste en el uso terapéutico de libros y literatura para facilitar la expresión de sentimientos y habilidades de afrontamiento. Esta investigación tuvo como propósito analizar la producción científica sobre biblioterapia indexada en Scopus. Se realizó un estudio bibliométrico utilizando métodos cuantitativos para conocer el desarrollo de investigación relacionada con la biblioterapia a nivel general.

    Se realizó una recuperación retrospectiva de documentos, sin filtro de temporalidad, identificándose 1.289 registros, en los cuales predomina el artículo como tipo de documento y el inglés como idioma. El autor más citado es Cuijpers, mientras que el más prolífico es John Pardeck; los países más productivos corresponden a Estados Unidos, Reino Unido y Australia. Entre las palabras claves más preponderantes destacan: biblioterapia, femenino, masculino, adulto, rehabilitación, depresión, terapia cognitiva, psicoterapia, niño y autocuidado. Se concluye que la producción ha aumentado sistemáticamente durante el siglo XXI, demostrándose su uso como herramienta auxiliar en tratamientos de enfermedades físicas y psicológicas. Por otra parte, si bien la biblioterapia es considerada parte del quehacer bibliotecario, no es posible observar gran producción de parte de profesionales de la información, por lo que se sugiere aumentar la investigación sobre biblioterapia desde la perspectiva bibliotecológica.

    Bibliotherapy involves the therapeutic use of books and literature to facilitate the expression of feelings and coping skills. The purpose of this research was to analyze the scientific production on bibliotherapy, indexed in Scopus. A bibliometric study was carried out using quantitative methods to know the development of research related to bibliotherapy at a general level. A retrospective recovery of documents was carried out, without a temporality filter, identifying 1,289 records, in which the article predominates as the type of document and English as the language. The most cited author is Cuijpers, while the most prolific is John Pardeck; the most productive countries correspond to the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. Among the most preponderant keywords are: bibliotherapy, female, male, adult, rehabilitation, depression, cognitive therapy, psychotherapy, child and self-care.

    It is concluded that production has increased systematically during the 21st century, and its use as an auxiliary tool in the treatment of physical and psychological diseases has increased. On the other hand, although bibliotherapy is considered part of the work of librarians, there is not a large production of information professionals. Due to this, it is suggested to increase the research on bibliotherapy from the librarianship perspective.
