The application of the voltammetry of immobilized particles (VIMP), an electrochemical technique of solid state tocontrol the deterioration of verdigris-based pictorial specimens under the action of different microorganism, ispresented in this paper. Pictorial specimens combining verdigris with Arabic gum, egg and linseed oil bindersbiodeteriorated by inoculation with Penicillium chrysogenum, Aspergillus niger, Acremonium chrysogenum,Trichoderma pseudokoningii and Mucor rouxii fungi and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, Arthrobacter oxydans andStreptomyces cellulofans bacteria were tested using sample-modified graphite electrodes immersed into aqueouselectrolytes. A model is presented to describe the involved electrochemistry resulting in the appearance of binderspecific and biological agent-specific features.
