Resumen de Estudiar en la UNED. Una experiencia personal de reconocimiento y agradecimiento en el 50 aniversario de “nuestra” universidad: La experiencia personal de dos estudiantes de la UNED que hoy son Profesores en la Sede Central

  La función social de la UNED constituye su auténtica razón de ser y se basa en la capacidad de facilitar los estudios superiores a aquellas personas que no pueden acudir regularmente a los centros de enseñanza presencial. El presente artículo cuenta la experiencia personal de dos profesores de la Sede Central que estudiaron en el Centro Asociado de la UNED de Albacete y desempeñan su actividad profesional en la propia UNED, y que además de asumir funciones de gestión universitaria, también han desarrollado la actividad tutorial.

  La UNED es hoy un modelo didáctico fundamental e insustituible en el panorama universitario español. Cincuenta años después de su fundación es una institución consolidada, con una implantación territorial que garantiza el derecho a la educación superior a todos los ciudadanos y un prestigio científico y docente que se puede medir sin desdoro alguno con el de las más añejas y acreditadas Universidades de España. La UNED supone un modelo sin parangón, de gran importancia para la cohesión científica y cultural de España y, a la vez, para la integración, al servicio de todos, de la identidad propia de los diversos territorios en un proyecto compartido.

  The social function of the UNED constitutes its true reason for being and is based on its ability to facilitate higher education for those who cannot regularly attend face-to-face learning centers. This article tells the personal experience of two professors from the Central Headquarters who studied at the Associated Center of the UNED in Albacete and carry out their professional activ-ity at the UNED itself, and who, in addition to assuming university management functions, have also developed the activity tutorial. The UNED is today a fundamental and irreplaceable educational model in the Spanish uni-versity scene. Fifty years after its foundation, it is a consolidated institution, with a territorial implantation that guarantees the right to higher education to all citizens and a scientific and educational prestige that can be measured without any disrespect with that of the oldest and most accredited Universities of Spain. The UNED represents an unparalleled model, of great importance for the scientific and cultural cohesion of Spain and, at the same time, for the inte-gration, at the service of all, of the identity of the various territories in a shared project
