The work of Josep Palau i Fabre indisputably centers on literature - poetry, theater, essay – and on Picasso’s paintings. However, the Catalan writer has kept a close relationship with the cinema throughout his career, organizing screenings, working as a scriptwriter, conducting a theoretical reflection on the seventh art and in particular by developing a number of projects many of which have never been released. In this article, we will try to take stock of the different incursions of Palau in cinema.

L’œuvre de Josep Palau i Fabre gravite indiscutablement autour de la littérature – poésie, théâtre, essai – et de la peinture de Picasso. Cependant, l’écrivain catalan a entretenu un rapport avec le cinéma tout au long de sa carrière, organisant des projections, en y travaillant comme figurant, en menant une réflexion théorique sur le septième art et en particulier en élaborant un certain nombre de projets de films dont la plupart n’ont jamais vu le jour. Dans cet article, nous tenterons de faire le point sur les différentes incursions de Palau dans le domaine du cinéma.
