    El artículo estudia la censura gubernativa de libros de tema indiano en el siglo XVIII español mediante un análisis comparativo de los expedientes informados por la Real Academia de la Historia y el Consejo de Indias. El estudio parte de investigaciones previas para centrarse en los expedientes de censura con dictamen favorable con reparos, a fin de comprobar el carácter de esas objeciones censoras, su efecto en la composición y su relación cuantitativa con la publicación o denegación final de las obras. Se estudian varios expedientes en particular.

    This article studies official censorship of books on American topics at the Eighteenth Century in Spain, by means of a comparative analysis of the files shared by the Royal Academy of History and the Council of the Indies. The study builds on previous research to focus on the files that got a positive resolution with some objections, so as to test the character of these exceptions, their effects on the composition and their statistic connection with the final publication or rejection of works. Some particular files are examined.
