    Aborda el presente artículo tres cuestiones: la hipótesis de la funcionalidad posmoderna o sobremoderna del paisaje como herramienta activa y efectiva para con la conciencia medioambiental; las posibilidades del género como modelo de reflexión autorreferencial sobre los modos del proceso pictórico y su consecuente subversión; y la capacidad del paisaje para expandirse e hibridarse en, hacia y con otros géneros. A través del análisis de las últimas etapas de la obra del artista español de trayectoria internacional Abraham Lacalle, de sus estrategias y metodologías, podrá discernirse la importancia del paisaje como nodo creativo, eje para la cita-fuente, construcción conceptual y espacio mental dentro de su producción, así como de los recursos empleados para este cambio de paradigma.

    This article addresses three questions: the hypothesis of the postmodern or supermodern functionality of the landscape as an active and effective tool for environmental awareness; the possibilities of gender as a node for self-referential reflection on the model of the pictorial process and its consequent subversion; and the capacity of the landscape to expand and hybridize in, towards and with, other genres through the analysis of the latest stage of development in the work of the internationally reputed Spanish artist Abraham Lacalle. We will address his strategies and methodologies, the importance of the landscape as a creative node, axis for the quote-source, conceptual construction and mental space, that can be discerned in his production, analyzing the resources used for this paradigm shift.
