Resumen de Arte Chamánico: La simbiosis hombre-jaguar en la iconografía arqueológica de la cultura la aguada, noroeste de Argentina (400-1000 D.c.)

RESUMEN: Esta es una reseña de la charla titulada “Arte rupestre chamánico de la cultura de La Aguada del Noroeste argentino”, que ofrecí el 22 de octubre de 2005 en la Universidad de Caldas de Manizales, Colombia, invitada por el Dr. Jorge Ronderos, en el marco de la Maestría Cultura y Droga para América Latina. Quise retomar aquí en particular uno de los temas más ilustrativos del arte de esta cultura: las imágenes de seres híbridos, antropozoomorfos, como representativos del fenómeno de simbiosis entre el hombre (chamán) y el felino (jaguar) tan característico del arte chamánico precolombino. En esa oportunidad hice una presentación general sobre mi tema de investigación para el CONICET (Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Tecnológicas) de la Argentina, que trata de la relación entre el arte rupestre de la cultura prehispánica de La Aguada del Noroeste argentino y las antiguas tradiciones chamánicas, ligadas especialmente al uso de una de las principales plantas sagra- das psicoactivas de Sudamérica, la Anadenanthera colubrina var. cebil, comúnmente designada como cebil. ABSTRACT:This is a review of the chat titled “Shamanic Rock Art of La Aguada culture in the Argentinean Northwest” that I offered on October 22nd 2005 at the Universidad de Caldas of Manizales, Colombia, invited by Dr. Jorge Ronderos, within the fra- mework of the Master’s “Cultura y Droga” for Latin America. I wanted to retake one of the most illustrative topics in the art of this culture: the images of hybrid beings, anthropozoomorphic, as representative of the symbiosis phenomenon between man (shaman) and feline (jaguar) so characteristic of the Pre-Columbian Shamanic Art. In that opportunity I made a general presentation of my research topic for the CO- NICET (National Council of Scientific and Technological Researches) of Argentina that deals with the relationship between the rock art of the Pre-Hispanic culture of La Aguada of the Argentinean Northwest and the ancient shamanic traditions, especia- lly linked to the use of one of the main sacred psychoactive plants of South America, the Anadenanthera colubrina var. cebil, commonly designated as cebil. I have also developed the topic in other publications, so the interested readers will find in them a wider treatment and in some cases, on more specific aspects (Llamazares 1999, 2000, 2003 – Boschín, Hedges and Llamazares 1999 – Hedges et. al. 1998 – Llama- zares et al. 1999 – Arado et al. 2000).
