  Al igual que la guerra llegó al ámbito aéreo en 1914, la guerra podría llegar al ámbito espacial en el futuro. Mientras que la militarización del espacio ultraterrestre es inevitable, el grado que alcance ésta, así como su carácter es una elección. Y ahí es donde radica el problema.

  Este artículo trata de profundizar en la militarización del espacio. En particular, se trata de valorar el campo de armas espaciales partiendo de la base de una militarización del espacio.. Mediante un lenguaje claro y sencillo de asimilar, el autor pretende desarrollar y argumentar con evidencias reales la idea base de que el uso militar del espacio es un hecho; además de ser primordial e indiscutible.

  Con ese punto de partida, y conocedor de las limitaciones (incluso credibilidad) de las fuentes de información disponibles, se analizan las distintas armas espaciales que ya han sido desarrolladas y probadas, así como las que están por llegar.

  Just as war came to the air domain in 1914, war may come to the space domain in the future. While the militarization of outer space is inevitable, the degree to which it reaches, as well as its character, is a choice. And therein lies the situation.

  This article attempts to delve deeper into the militarization of space. In particular, it attempts to assess the space weapons field on the basis of a militarization of space. By means of a clear and easy to assimilate language, the author intends to develop and argue with real evidence the basic idea that the military use of space is a fact; besides being primordial and indisputable.

  With that starting point, and aware of the limitations (even credibility) of the available sources of information, the different space weapons that have already been developed and tested, as well as those that are yet to come, are analyzed.
