Resumen de Jaime Rest: ficción e imaginación crítica

La propuesta de estas notas es revisar y reevaluar las categorías de descentramiento y excentricidad a través de las que ha sido descrita –con un indudable matiz peyorativo– la obra crítica de Jaime Rest. En este sentido, revisar la poca atención que la metacrítica (crítica de la crítica) argentina ha dedicado a los textos de Rest constituye un punto fundamental para visualizar y estimar su auténtica proyección como precursor de los estudios culturales y de las investigaciones en torno al ensayo en Argentina. El objetivo del trabajo es también explorar en el corpus restiano los modos de una crítica literaria que escapa al Juicio moral y se erige como representativa de lo que se ha llamado “ficción crítica”.

The purpose of these notes is to check and to re-evaluate the categories of “descentramiento” and eccentricity with which it has been described –with unquestionable pejorative shade– the Jaime Rest's critical work. In this respect, to check small attention that Argentine metacritic has dedicated to Rest's texts it constitutes a fundamental point to visualize and to estimate its authentic projection as predecessor of the Cultural Studies and of the investigations around the essay in Argentina. The aim of this work is also to explore in the restian corpus the manners of a literary criticism that escapes to the moral Judgment and is raised like representative of what it has been given in to call “critical fiction”.
